VITAMIN B12 is involved in the formation of DNA.  Deficiencies can have serious consequences, both in performance horses with a high tissue turnover rate and in pregnancy and growth of young foals. Vitamin B12 acts in synergy with Folic Acid.

Clinically the first sign of deficiency is anaemia. Lack of  VITAMIN B12 can create anaemias. 

How Does It Work?

VITAMIN B12 is vital to the formation of red and white blood cells and haemoglobin, as well as for rapidly dividing cells which include gastrointestinal epithelial cells, the growing foetus, skin and hair.

Vitamin B12 is essential to the formation of FOLIC ACID. 

VITAMIN B12 is useful to stimulate appetite in horses and is essential in maintenance of adequate blood counts.

VITAMIN B12 is an essential B Complex vitamin, vitally involved in many metabolic processes related to coenzymes for tissue formation, DNA synthesis, complete utilisation of carbohydrates and proteins for nervous tissue maintenance and energy production, and blood counts.

Horses: 

• 5 – 10 mL. 
• Administer by intramuscular (IM) injection regularly twice weekly, or as advised by a veterinary surgeon.

Camels:

• Give by intramuscular (IM) injection
• 5 mL for small camels twice weekly: higayg, ligaya & iddah 
• 10 mL for larger camels twice weekly: thanayah, howl & gilesa 

VITAMIN B12 can be used with all Ceva products.
