Abamectin acts by binding selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride channels in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells. This leads to hyperpolarisation of these cells, resulting in flaccid paralysis and death of the parasite.

Morantel is a depolarising neuromuscular blocking agent producing paralysis by causing muscle contraction.

Horse owners are advised to work with their vets to create diagnostic driven worming plans, to reduce the risk of parasite related disease in horses.  Owners should aim to test (FEC) or treat at least 4 times a year, including tapeworm treatment every spring and autumn.Consult your veterinarian for a control programme to meet your specific needs.

Utilising Fecal Egg Counts (FEC) can confirm if your parasite control program is effective and potentially increase the interval between use of anthelmintics.

Skin lesions caused by: Habronema spp, Draschia spp, cutaneous larvae (Summer Sores), and Onchocerca spp, microfilariae (Cutaneous Onchocerciasis).

Horses: 

The contents of one 32.5 g syringe are sufficient to treat one horse of 600 kg bodyweight. Doses are described in mL, corresponding to the markings on the dial-a-dose syringe.

Foals and Ponies:

Administer 5 mL per 100 kg bodyweight. AMMO Allwormer can be used in pregnant mares, and in foals over four weeks of age.

Users must adhere to local and racing regulations.

Make sure you remove manure regularly from all horse areas (paddocks and stables) to help minimise re-infestation.
